Dark Rosaleen & Not I

May 1980

This double bill of performances boasted Dark Rosaleen, the award-winning play for the Lyric Drama Competition by Vincent Mahon, as well as the first Northern Irish professional production of Samuel Beckett's Not I.

Demonstrating the Lyric’s uncanny ability to pick out the potential of new creative talent, Mahon would go on to win the Hennessy New Irish Writing Prize in 1984.
